Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services in Calhoun, GA is seeking a full-time Educational Sign Language Interpreter to ensure Deaf and hard-of-hearing students have full access to learning and participation in school activities. Interpret in classrooms and at IEP meetings, collaborate with teachers and families, and help with licensing processes.

Qualifications

• EIPA score 3.5 or higher or RID certification.
• Georgia Educational Interpreter License through GaPSC or eligibility.
• Strong ASL and English communication skills.
• K–12 interpreting experience preferred.
• Patient, detail-oriented and able to connect with kids and families.

Responsibilities

• Interpret in the classroom during daily instruction and school events.
• Interpret for IEP meetings, parent conferences and enrollment discussions.
• Bridge communication between school and home for academic information.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and counselors to ensure accessibility.
• Be part of the IEP team and support student goals.
