Job summary

A leading education provider in Augusta, Georgia, seeks a Special Education Sign Language Interpreter for supporting Deaf/hard-of-hearing students. This role requires effective communication, knowledge in interpreting, and relevant qualifications such as an Associate Degree or equivalent skills. Candidates should have two years of experience in interpretation and possess a Paraprofessional Certificate. Qualifications

• Two years of college or equivalent skills in interpreting.
• Paraprofessional Certificate and Georgia Educational Interpreter License preferred.
• Two years of experience interpreting for the deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Interpret lecture material accurately for students.
• Assist with school functions outside class on an as-needed basis.
• Promote good public relations between hearing impaired students and staff.
