Amergis is seeking a School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) in Bremerton, WA. This contract - full-time role offers $28 per hour and a 32.50 hour workweek, supporting deaf or hard-of-hearing students in educational settings using ASL interpretation to facilitate classroom communication.

Minimum requirements include proficiency in American Sign Language, an associate or bachelor’s degree in interpreting or related field (preferred), and relevant state certifications or RID/EIPA requirements as

Qualifications

• ASL proficiency is required.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in interpreting, deaf studies or related field preferred.
• State Board Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate as applicable.
• EIPA certificate as applicable per state regulation or client requirement.
• RID certification as applicable per state regulation or client requirement.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR current if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate current.
