Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a contract, part-time role in Rochester, WA. The interpreter will facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and others in educational settings, using American Sign Language to interpret spoken language.

The position offers $55 per hour with approximately 16 hours per week and requires ASL proficiency along with applicable state certifications where required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language.
• Associate or Bachelors in interpreting, deaf studies or related field preferred.
• State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate where required.
• EIPA certificate where required by state or client.
• RID certification where required by state or client.
• Complies with professional standards of practice.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• TB/health clearance if applicable.
• Health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
