Job summary

Brightway Living & Learning is looking for a Substitute Teaching Assistant for their School Age Program in Huntington, NY. This part-time position pays between $18.36 and $22.03 per hour. The role is designed for creative and motivated individuals eager to assist children with developmental disabilities in a supportive learning environment.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma and demonstrate a keen interest in helping students with disabilities. Training is provided, and certification is required within the first year.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate interest in working with students with disabilities.
• Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Willingness to attend in-services training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing IEP’s.
• Collect student behavior and performance data.
• Help with student safety and supervision.
