Job summary

Community Concern 13 Inc. is seeking a School-Age Teacher to conduct and monitor educational activities within the after-school program, summer camps, and school vacation care.

The role develops a developmental program to meet cognitive, emotional, social, and physical needs of children and families in alignment with state standards. The position requires a CDA or associate degree in early childhood education, at least two years of childcare experience, and current First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: CDA degree or associate degree in early childhood education.
• Two years of childcare or classroom experience.
• Preschool/Child Development experience preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR card.
• Reliable transportation to the Center.
• Clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse History, FBI, NSOR) and health TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement, and evaluate daily classroom activities including ensuring adequate time for homework as needed.
• Assist parents in providing for childcare needs and daily routines.
• Share the responsibility of providing appropriate care for children with disabilities.
• Provide input for Parent/Staff Conferences, as well as for development and evaluation of individual goals of children and families.
• Maintain daily childcare information.
• Report suspected child abuse to the Director immediately.
• Attend staff orientation and other meetings as requested.
• Participate in professional growth and development activities.
