Job summary

Chelsea School District is seeking an AfterCare/Camp staff member to manage and implement the school-age care program. You will supervise staff, ensure licensing compliance, and maintain a safe environment for children and families.

Position requires high school completion or equivalent, 15 clock hours of school age training, and First Aid/CPR/AED certification, plus 480 hours of childcare experience in school-age programs. Immediate start.

Qualifications

• Must have completed high school or GED equivalent.
• Have completed 15 clock hours, 1 semester hour, or 1.5 CEU’s of documented school age training
• Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings (criminal history background check and sexual offender’s registry check)
• Ability to work the required hours – ranging Monday–Friday
• Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule
• Ability to effectively understand, follow and give oral and written instructions
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with the public, staff, and families
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Have 480 hours of experience working as a childcare staff member in a program serving school age children

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the development, planning and implementation of the school-age care program.
• Day to day supervision of staff members; ensuring that they comply with policies
• Ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff members and participants
• Organizing and maintaining daily paperwork and incident reports, and performs other duties as assigned.
• Working in the summer camp programs
• Supporting in Early Childhood programs as needed

Start Date: Immediate Opening

Rate of Pay: $18.54 – $22.96 per hour –Pay commensurate with experience

Schedule: M-F, 8 hours/day, 260 days/year
