Job summary

Caliday School Age is seeking an educator to assist the Program Director in the before- and after-care program for school-age children. You will implement activities aligned with the Caliday curriculum and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

The ideal candidate has an AA or BA in Elementary Education or related field or at least 400 hours of school-age experience, plus CPR/First Aid, Basic Health and Safety, and ADA training. You will support staff and maintain program quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage the program space and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Create a welcoming environment for children, parents, and visitors.
• Implement activities aligned with the Caliday curriculum and maintain effective classroom management.
• Supervise and counsel children using Conscious Discipline and behavior-management techniques.
• Communicate with parents and school community about program happenings and updates.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the classroom.
• Identify opportunities to improve the program and work with the team to resolve issues.
• Maintain yearly certification requirements including continuing education.
