Caliday School Age Teachers assist the Program Director in the operations of the before and after care program for school-age children; implementing activities to ensure the Caliday mission, vision and values are upheld, and the children are provided with a safe and learning environment.

To provide support and direction to the teacher assistant; ideal candidates hold an AA/BA in a related field or 400 hours experience with school-age children, plus CPR/First Aid and health/safety training.

Formación

• AA or BA in Elementary Education, Psychology, Child Development, Family Studies or similar.
• CPR and First Aid, Basic Health and Safety, ADA training certificates.
• 400 hours of experience with School Age children in a professional setting.

Responsabilidades

• Manages the program space, ensuring compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and policies.
• Provides a welcoming environment for children, parents, and visitors.
• Implements age-appropriate activities and effective classroom management.
• Assists and supervises children; counsels using Conscious Discipline.
• Communicates with parents and provides regular updates on program happenings.
• Maintains open communication with team, parents, and school community.
• Maintains classroom appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
• Identifies opportunities or problems and collaborates to resolve.
• Maintains yearly certification requirements including CE credits.
