Job summary

The YMCA School Age Care program is seeking Lead Program Staff to join our team in the Apple Valley area. This Monday–Friday role includes a free Y membership, strong benefits, professional growth opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.

You will lead activities for kids in grades K–5—arts & crafts, gym, STEM, field trips—while supporting staff and creating a fun, positive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older.
• 6 months experience with school age children or as SAC Program Staff.
• Background check and fingerprints upon hire.
• CPR/First Aid certified or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Knowledge of child development, guidance, and recreation programs.
• Willingness to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Director with planning, supervision, and implementation of the program.
• Travel locally to YMCA branches and other program sites.
• Promote the program via calendars, emails and parent communications.
• Provide work direction to program staff and assist in training.
• Evaluate the program and recommend changes to the Site Director.
• Maintain clean, organized site and complete administrative duties.
