Job summary

The YMCA of Catawba Valley is seeking a Group Leader to supervise a group of children in before/after school and summer programs. You will plan and implement engaging activities, foster a safe environment, and collaborate with program staff to achieve program objectives.

Responsibilities include supervising children, maintaining records, and communicating with the coordinator. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills are required, with a focus on safety and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. EDU 119 preferred; BSAC.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Ability to plan and implement engaging and educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a variety of educational, recreational, and enrichment activities for children in the program.
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being.
• Communicate regularly with the program coordinator regarding participation and progress.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure cohesive program delivery and advocate for YMCA programs.
