Job summary

YMCA of the USA in Maryland is seeking a Base Director to oversee daily youth development programs and ensure high standards of care. You will plan unit lessons, supervise activities, and maintain safe, engaging classrooms in compliance with MSDE regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, sign-in procedures, and building strong relationships with families and staff while promoting program quality and continuity across the base group.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old and meet MSDE regulations.
• Experience leading groups of children including school age.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement unit lesson plans.
• Develop and implement daily classroom activity.
• Ensure parents/guardians sign in and out daily.
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with staff and parents.
• Create and maintain a safe and attractive learning environment.
• Organize center events (field trips, school pictures, etc.).
• Keep training up to date per MSDE and YMCA requirements.
