Job summary

Caliday School Age Teachers assist the Program Director in the operations of the before and after care program for school age children; implementing activities to ensure the Caliday mission, vision and values are upheld, and the children are provided with a safe and learning environment. To provide support and direction to the teacher assistant.

Qualifications

• AA or BA in Elementary Education, Psychology, Child Development, Family Studies or related field or 45 clock hours Child Development, birth through school-age, and the 45 clock hours Curriculum for School Age Care.
• CPR and First Aid training certificates, Basic Health and Safety training certificate and ADA training certificate.
• 400 hours of experience working with School Age children in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director in the operations of the before and after care program for school age children.
• Implement activities to ensure the Caliday mission, vision and values are upheld; provide a safe learning environment.
• Supervise and guide the teacher assistant; maintain classroom management.
• Communicate effectively with parents and provide regular updates.
• Maintain appearance, cleanliness and safety of the classroom environment.
• Ensure compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and company standards.
