Job summary

Caliday is seeking a Teacher's Aide to support the school age program, assist in activity implementation, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment for children before and after care. The role involves collaborating with the Program Director and School Age Teacher to ensure Caliday’s mission and values are upheld.

The ideal candidate has some experience in childcare and will assist in daily operations, supervision, and communication with families while adhering to MSDE-OCC

Qualifications

• Some experience in the childcare field.
• Ability to assist with implementing activities and supervising children.

Responsibilities

• Assists with managing the program space and ensures compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provides a welcoming environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Assists with implementing age-appropriate activities per Caliday curriculum.
• Supervises children during activities and uses Conscious Discipline for behavior management.
• Communicates with parents and provides updates on program happenings.
• Maintains clear communication with team, parents and school community.
• Ensures classroom appearance, cleanliness and safety are maintained.
• Identifies opportunities or problems and works with teachers/director to resolve.
• Maintains yearly certification requirements including CE credits.
