Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & The Mid-South is seeking a full-time Site Director for a School Age Before/After School site in Bartlett, TN. You will lead daily lesson plans, supervise staff, ensure DHS licensing compliance, and maintain safety and quality in program operations.

The role requires strong leadership, communication with parents and school staff, and a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends. A degree or related experience in child development is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in child development or related field, and enroll in TEC TA within first year.
• Two years of college (30 credit hours) and two years of experience in group settings.
• Four-year degree and one year of full-time (paid or unpaid) experience in a group setting.

Responsibilities

• Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
• Oversee the operation of a before/after school site and seasonal camps.
• Maintain policies, licensing standards, and conduct licensing inspections.
• Plan and implement daily curriculum and supervise staff and children.
• Lead 15–20 children per DHS guidelines and coordinate with DHS/Area Coordinator.
• Ensure site safety, cleanliness, and organized space.
• Maintain positive relationships with school staff and families.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; participate in community partnerships.
• Flexible schedule, evenings and weekends; weekend work may be required.
