Job summary

The YMCA of Memphis & The Mid-South is seeking a part-time School Age Group Leader to implement daily lesson plans at before- and after-school sites and summer programs. You will actively engage 15–20 children under the direction of the Site Director and help create a safe, welcoming learning environment.

Collaborate with site staff to foster children’s social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth, maintain supplies, follow safety policies, and participate in required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage 15–20 children in activities as directed by the Site Director
• Follow safety standards and risk management policies to keep participants safe
• Assist in planning and implementing a quality curriculum
• Attend staff meetings and trainings and help manage supplies and inventory
• Maintain positive relationships with YMCA staff and school personnel
• Work a flexible split-shift schedule Monday–Friday (before and/or after school)
