Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring multiple part-time positions for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School and Pittsburgh Manchester Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

Pay ranges from $13.50 to $22.00 per hour with morning and/or afternoon shifts (7:00 AM–9:30 AM and 3:30 PM–6:00 PM). Positions are part-time, non-exempt, with employer-paid childcare benefits and opportunities to impact children’s growth in a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older.
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB test.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines and program/school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
