Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time role focuses on engaging children ages 5–12 in a structured, safe, and fun environment. Employment benefits include employer-paid childcare and other perks, with responsibilities including activity facilitation and program operations support.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 18 years of age or older, high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years experience with children under 13, background check including fingerprinting, must be medically fit for job duties, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies, and support program operations such as attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Position Responsibilities

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
