Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is part-time and non-exempt, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour and a schedule that follows the school calendar, including morning and/or afternoon sessions.

• Bachelor’s degree or CDA requirements with relevant experience are required or preferred.
• Experience working with school-age children in after-school programs or similar settings.
• Knowledge of planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional growth.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment and act as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations such as attendance, registration, and staffing.

Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM

Afternoon Program: 2:45 PM-6:00 PM

Requirements

Education and Experience

Candidate Must Possess One Of The Following

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
• Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience

Relevant experience includes: working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
