Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus for the 2026–2027 school year. You will support students with activities, homework, and supervision in a structured, engaging environment.

Requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of experience with children, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, and reliable with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, and art.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies; assist with attendance records and staffing as needed.

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
