Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Programs at Quinton Township Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role offers part-time, non-exempt status with shifts in the morning and/or afternoon, following the school calendar.

Responsibilities include facilitating activities, keeping children safe, and supporting enrollment and scheduling. Benefits include employer-paid childcare and other coverage options for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Must pass all required state background checks.
• Ability to meet physical demands including bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and active engagement with energetic children.

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

PAY RATE: $16.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 6:45 - 8:30 am

Afternoon Program: 2:45 - 5:45 pm

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks.
• Requires the ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
• The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues, along with a consistent record of reliability and punctuality.
