Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Park Elementary School in Columbia, PA, for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time role at Park Elementary offers an hourly pay of $13.50–$14.50, with employer-paid childcare benefits and a schedule aligned with the school day. You’ll lead activities, support students, and collaborate with families and teammates to provide a safe, engaging program.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
