Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the facilitation of hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities.
• Assisting students with homework.
• Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment.
• Serving as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed.
• Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App.
• Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

LOCATION: Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA

PAY: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour

HOURS: 7:00 - 8:30 am & 2:45 - 6:00 pm

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work.
