Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Milton Union Exempted Village School program during the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role supports morning and/or afternoon sessions, working with children ages 5–12 in a structured, caring environment.

The ideal candidate loves helping kids learn through play, communicates effectively with families, and collaborates with a team to deliver the Healthy Kids Curriculum.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior childcare experience is preferred (1 year).
• Must pass health clearance including TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment.
• Observe guidelines and host school policies.
• Support program operations including attendance records and registration.

Position Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
