Job summary

Montgomery County Schools is seeking a Child Care Worker for Mount Sterling, KY to support after-school, preschool, and summer programs. This role reports to the Child Care Supervisor and requires on-site work in a school setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• First Aid and CPR training completed.
• Meets minimum requirements as indicated by Cabinet for Human Resources.
• Must meet Physical Performance Requirements.
• Additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students one-on-one, in small groups, or in large groups to ensure safety.
• Maintain inventories and up-to-date program records as required by CHR and district policies.
• Set up the child care area, prepare daily snacks, and clean up for the regular program.
• Develop, facilitate, and carry out daily planned activities across assigned areas.
• Enforce childcare program rules according to handbook and registration packets.
• Provide health services as directed by Site Supervisor after required training.
• Obtain and maintain the minimum training hours set by CHR.
• Require staff to work when school is not in session (snow days, holidays, etc.).
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
