Job summary

Caliday School Age Programs are seeking qualified teachers to support the Program Director in before and after care for school-age children. You will implement engaging activities, ensure a safe learning environment, and provide guidance using Conscious Discipline.

The role requires a relevant education background or 400 hours of school-age experience, with strong communication to parents and a collaborative team approach within Caliday family.

Qualifications

• AA or BA in Elementary Education or related field or equivalent clock hours.
• CPR and First Aid training certificates and ADA training.
• 400 hours of experience with school-age children in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director in operations of before/after care for school age children.
• Implement age-appropriate activities aligned with Caliday curriculum.
• Provide a safe, engaging learning environment and effective classroom management.
• Counsel children as needed using Conscious Discipline techniques.
• Communicate with parents: greet by name, address concerns promptly, provide updates.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the classroom.
• Identify opportunities or problems and collaborate to resolve them.
