Job summary

Caliday is seeking a dedicated Teacher's Aide to support before and after care programs for school-age children. You will assist in implementing activities, ensure a safe learning environment, and work under the supervision of the Program Director and School Age Teacher.

The ideal candidate will have some childcare experience and be able to engage children with a structured, supportive approach. Training and development opportunities are available within Caliday.

Qualifications

• Some experience in the childcare field is preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate with parents and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the program space to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Create a welcoming environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Assist with age-appropriate activities according to Caliday curriculum.
• Supervise children during activities and apply behavior management techniques.
• Provide timely updates to parents about program happenings and concerns.
• Maintain open communication with team, parents and school community.
• Ensure classroom appearance, cleanliness and safety are maintained.
• Identify opportunities or problems and coordinate with staff to resolve them.
• Maintain yearly certification requirements including Continuing Education Credits.
