Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon sessions (7:00 AM–8:35 AM and 3:20 PM–6:30 PM). The program offers employer-paid childcare and benefits, and opportunities to mentor children while collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess one of the following: a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or the human services field
• Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience includes working with school-age children in after‑school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art and homework completion
• Provide a safe, healthy and fun environment and be a positive role model
• Observe state guidelines, program policies and host school rules
• Some positions may perform management tasks such as attendance, registration and staffing
