Job summary

Navy Region Hawaii Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a School Age Care (SAC) Director to administer a developmentally appropriate program for children ages 5-12 within Navy CYP. The Director ensures compliance with DoW, DON, and CNIC standards while delivering high-quality care and programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to youth programs and two years of full-time experience with children/youth.
• Knowledge of DoD/DON Navy CYP regulations and accreditation requirements.
• Ability to supervise staff, manage programs and ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily SAC program operations to ensure safety and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Provide guidance and accountability for SAC staff during operating hours.
• Collaborate with Training and Curriculum Specialists to implement age-appropriate curriculum.
• Develop and test monthly evacuation procedures and health safety protocols.
• Serve as primary contact for parents and community partners to facilitate coordination.
