Job summary

Spartan Kids School Age Child Care Staff (College/Adult) is part‑time, supporting before and after school care for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The role focuses on planning activities, supervising children, and fostering a warm, safe environment.

Hours are Monday–Friday 7–9am and 3:30–5:45pm, with additional hours on non-school days. Pay ranges from $13.65 to $19.81 per hour, with benefits like Earned Sick and Safe Time and PERA.

Qualifications

• Fun, nurturing and caring demeanor with a passion for working with children.
• Highly organized and flexible, able to adapt to varying tasks.
• Experience in child care and with school-age children (5–12) is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• First-aid/CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging activities for school-age children (K–5).
• Supervise children using positive classroom management techniques.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for students and families.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the program.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students and parents.
