Job summary

Catalyst teaches staff support the planning and implementation of Catalyst's programming for children from infant to school age at our San Jose center. Assistant Teachers must facilitate activities, support social-emotional development, and supervise children in a safe environment.

Essential functions include implementing developmentally appropriate curricula, maintaining enriching learning spaces, delivering excellent customer service, ensuring health and safety, and collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• 6 months of group care experience preferred.
• Experience with curriculum planning and family communication.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Bilingual abilities may be required depending on center.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned to learning foundations.
• Support and maintain age-appropriate, enriched learning environments.
• Provide excellent customer service through authentic relationships with children, families, schools, and staff.
• Ensure children's health and safety through supervision and safe practices.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality programs and a positive workplace.
