Job summary

Caliday is seeking a Teacher's Aide to support the before and after care program for school age children. You will assist the Program Director and School Age Teacher in implementing activities that align with Caliday's mission and curriculum, creating a safe, engaging learning environment.

The ideal candidate has some childcare experience and strong communication skills to greet families, supervise activities, and provide updates on program happenings.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will have some experience in childcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of the program space, ensuring compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming and friendly environment for all children, parents and visitors.
• Assist with the implementation of activities that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with the provided Caliday curriculum.
• Assist and supervise children during all activities; counsel children as needed using Conscious Discipline and appropriate behavior management techniques.
• Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on program happenings.
• Maintains open and effective communication with team, parents and school community.
• Ensures that the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom environment is appropriately maintained.
• Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the program and works with the School Age Teacher and/or Program Director to resolve.
• Maintains yearly certification requirements including Continuing Education Credits.
