Acquire4Hire is seeking a part-time Room Lead to run its after-school program at Mary Hogan Elementary in Middlebury, VT. You will supervise children and staff, guiding day-to-day activity plans in a safe, engaging environment.

The role requires working 4-5 days per week (Mon-Fri) from 2:40pm to 5:30pm, with responsibilities including snack prep, transitions, crafts, and behavior management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working with children or in childcare settings.
• Experience in managing staff.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
• Strong communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to receive.
• Patience, positive attitude, and friendliness.
• Nice to Have: Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct staff on day to day plans.
• Manage 25-35 students in after school environment.
• Prepare and serve snack.
• Manage transitions from school day to program, to bathroom, and to indoor and outdoor activities.
• Engage with kids during crafts, games and activities.
• Manage occasional individual and group behaviors.
• Help clean space.

About This Role
