Job summary

The Community Group is hiring a part-time after-school educator for Community Kids Place in Lawrence, MA. You will provide a positive, safe environment for children 5-14, delivering enrichment activities during after-school and summer programs.

Requirements include being at least 18, completing CORI/SORI fingerprint checks, and maintaining CPR and First Aid certifications. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must complete CORI, SORI and fingerprint checks.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Experience working with school-age children (5-14 years).
• Must provide evidence of physical examination within one year prior to employment.
• Immunizations against Measles, Mumps and Rubella; maintain CPR/First Aid certification within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, safe, fun, and memorable experience for children and families in after-school and summer programs.
• Prioritize care, safety, and well-being of children within the group.
• Create a secure and enjoyable environment for children to thrive.
• Plan and implement academic enrichment lessons in 10-week project cycles.
• Encourage active participation and help children reach their potential.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor to enrolled children.
• Maintain health, safety, and emergency records.
• Support Site Coordinator/Program Managers/Director in tasks as needed.
• Attend staff and parent meetings, workshops, and training; fulfill required certifications.
