Job summary

Community Teamwork in Lowell, MA is seeking a part-time Assistant Group Leader for the School Age Program. The role involves supervising children in a 1:13 ratio, assisting with daily curriculum, and coaching youth as part of a supportive team.

The position requires a minimum age of 17, enrollment in high school or GED, and current immunizations with CPR/First Aid certification either in place or obtained within two months. Ability to work across sites and maintain confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be minimum 17 years old.
• Must be enrolled in High School or equivalent.
• Evidence of physical exam within one year prior to hire.
• Immunization against measles, mumps, and rubella.
• CPR and First Aid certification current or to be obtained within two months of employment.
• CORI/DCF review prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing program policies and procedures including attendance records and following Early Education and Care Regulations and USDA Guidelines.
• Work at all school age sites as assigned.
• Provide supervision and safety of children; maintain daily group list and attendance.
• Recognize each child as an individual and help them grow within the group.
• Maintain respectful communication and positive behavior expectations.
• Assist in creating the weekly curriculum.
• Follow daily activities and curriculum plans; cannot be left alone with children.
• Maintain clean and organized spaces and set up daily spaces.
• Participate in case management of families; share concerns with Site Coordinator.
• Maintain confidentiality of children and families.
• Broaden knowledge of cultural/ethnic heritage of children and families served.
• Uphold CTI values: Equity, Integrity, Compassion.
