Job summary

The Katherine Thomas School, part of TLC - The Treatment and Learning Centers, Inc., in Rockville, MD, seeks an Administrative Manager for a 12-month role with an annual salary of $54,000 to $68,000. This position provides administrative support to the special education program(s) and coordinates KTS Summer Programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating staff, managing documents and data, supervising transportation, and ensuring compliance for funding sources.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and at least five years of relevant administrative and supervisory experience.
• Experience within a school setting preferred.
• One year experience working with children, preferably with disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, welcoming attitude.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office, Google Docs and various databases.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents, school systems, attorneys and school administrators.
• Train staff in using computer-based data management systems.
• Manage student documents and data.
• Maintain staff certifications and licensures.
• Complete required documents for funding sources.
• Supervise school bus positions and ensure county registrations are up to date.
• Direct and/or respond to incoming calls and act as liaison.
• Track leave requests for staff.
• Maintain records or budget expenses and track purchase orders.
• Process registration forms for events and field trips.
• Coordinate with the school nurse to maintain student health records.
• Serve as backup to the Administrative Assistant.
