Job summary

The Katherine Thomas School, a Program of TLC-The Treatment and Learning Centers in Rockville, seeks a full-time Lower/Middle School Education Director for the 2026/2027 school year. This 12-month role reports to the Lower/Middle School Director and oversees educational programs, instructional teams, IEP implementation, scheduling, and compliance with MSDE.

Salary ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in special education is required.
• MSDE special educator licensure is required.
• Maryland Special Education Teaching Certification is required.
• Experience with language-based learning disabilities for K-8 is preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. with no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and supervise educational programs for Lower/Middle School.
• Supervise instructional teams and supervise IEP implementation.
• Develop student schedules and support students, staff, and families.
• Ensure compliance with MSDE requirements.
