Job summary

Concord Community Schools seeks an Assistant Principal (Certified - Administrator) to lead student personnel programs across elementary and secondary levels. Reporting to the Building Principal, you will counsel and discipline students and coordinate activities to support a positive school culture.

You will supervise staff performance, help plan master calendars, and coordinate student activities, clubs, assemblies and events.

Qualifications

• Certification as required by the Indiana Department of Education.
• Ability to plan and organize.
• Skills in human relations.
• Ability to communicate effectively before groups of students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Formulates student personnel policies.
• Plans and supervises school and student activity programs.
• Talks with and disciplines students in case of attendance and behavior problems.
• Supervises students at assemblies and athletic events.
• Coordinates student activities including clubs, assemblies, homecomings, etc.
• Observe and evaluate teacher performance.
• Support and encourage participation in staff development programs.
• Acts as principal in the principal's absence.
• Coordinate student teachers with administrators.
• Maintain accurate master calendar and weekly calendar for teachers and students.
• Communicate with custodial services regarding building usage for activities.
• Coordinate student fund-raising activities.
• Supervise summer school activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
