Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking an educational leader to assist the principal with directing instructional and operational programs. You will help manage curriculum development, staff supervision, and the implementation of policies to support student achievement.

Assists the principal in providing educational leadership for students and staff consistent with division goals. Responsibilities include administration of instructional and operational programs and activities; and assisting the principal in directing a staff of professional and support instructional personnel. Work is performed under broad policies and established objectives; decisions/actions impact the entire system; contacts are regularly and frequently made inside and outside the school system.
Provides assistance to the Principal in developing the budget; monitors school and activity fund budgets.

Uses standard office equipment and equipment related to education.
Contact with all levels of CCPS personnel, students, and parents. Occasional contact with School Board members and state administrators, as well as community members.
Provides work direction to teachers and staff, and assists the principal in supervising teachers and staff in assigned school.
High level of independent decision making is required.
May provide input or recommendations related to policy changes.

Occasional attendance to school related activities throughout the state and after normal working hours is necessary. Daily contact is made with students, teachers, and school administrators. Regular contact is made with parents and the community. These contacts may be non-cooperative.
