Job summary

Ausohio in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Scholar Engagement Coach/Case Manager to support scholars and families, ensuring academic success and wellbeing through home visits, resource connections, and attendance monitoring.

You will coordinate testing and behavioral support, develop engaging activities, and help with summer enrollment planning, working with teachers, staff, and parents to foster a positive school climate.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with scholars and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trusting relationships.
• Knowledge of local community resources and services for scholars.
• Familiarity with attendance tracking systems and procedures.
• Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Complete Home Visits to build relationships with scholars and families.
• Connect scholars and families to community resources (healthcare, housing, financial aid).
• Monitor attendance and address issues with families to improve attendance.
• Assist scholars in meeting school expectations ( academics and behavior).
• Coordinate testing accommodations and provide behavioral support.
• Prepare attendance letters and file truancy reports per policy.
• Develop and implement on/off-campus activities for engagement.
• Plan and execute Summer Recruitment activities with the team.
