CORE, powered by The Rogers Foundation is seeking a part-time Scholar Success Coach to work on-site in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. You will mentor Scholars, provide guidance, track progress, and collaborate with families, school staff, and partners to remove barriers to learning.

The role involves scheduling, documenting interactions, and delivering goal-oriented sessions with flexibility for afternoons, evenings, or weekends as needed to support student success.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Scholar Success Coach is a part-time, on-site role based in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area. This role provides direct support, guidance, and encouragement to Scholars through regular check-ins, mentoring conversations, and individualized success planning. The Scholar Success Coach collaborates with school staff, families, and community partners to identify resources, remove barriers to learning, and connect Scholars with academic, social-emotional, and enrichment opportunities. Responsibilities include monitoring Scholar progress, documenting interactions, assisting with goal-setting, and facilitating workshops or small group sessions as needed. The role also involves participating in team meetings, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive environment that reflects CORE’s mission.

Qualifications

• Strong mentoring, coaching, and relationship-building skills to support and empower diverse Scholars.
• Effective communication, active listening, and collaboration skills when working with students, families, school staff, and community partners.
• Organizational and time management abilities for scheduling meetings, tracking Scholar progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity, with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices.
• Experience working with youth or in educational, social services, or community-based settings; prior work in the Las Vegas area is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for afternoon, evening, or weekend hours as needed.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and digital tools for communication, data entry, and reporting.
• Relevant education or training (such as coursework or a degree in education, social work, counseling, or a related field) is preferred but not required.
