Job summary

The State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections seeks a Supervisor for Medical Program Assistant staff within the Health Services Unit. You will oversee day-to-day operations, plan and train staff, and maintain workflows with quality controls across multiple institutions.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the supervision of Medical Program Assistant staff within the Health Services Unit setting. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the day-to-day activities of Medical Program Assistant staff, including planning, organizing, scheduling, training and staff development. In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining Medical Program Assistant workflows and implementing and maintaining quality control measures.

Institutions that this position will cover are Columbia Correctional Institution, Oakhill Correctional Institution, New Lisbon Correctional Institution, Prairie du Chien Correctional Institution, Thompson Correctional Center, and Wisconsin Secure Program Facility. Travel is required between institutions.

Salary Information

This position is in pay schedule/range (81-04) with an starting annual salary of $52020 to $77313, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.

Job Details

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

Shift: Monday- Friday 7:45AM-4:30PM

Travel is required between institutions.
