The Wisconsin Department of Corrections invites applications for a Nursing Assistant role at Dodge Correctional Institution Infirmary. Under supervision, you will assist in providing health care, support therapists and nursing staff, and help maintain 24-hour infirmary operations.
You must have BLS certification, be eligible for Wisconsin CNA, and be prepared for a progressive pay scale based on state service.
Under the general supervision of the assigned Nursing Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for assisting in the provision of health care and services to patients in the Infirmary at Dodge Correctional Institution (DCI). Duties include assisting Physical and Occupational Therapists, Nursing Staff and Advanced Care Providers with direct patient care, clerical functions and assigned duties in maintaining day-to-day functioning of twenty-four-hour infirmary operation.
This position is in pay schedule and range 06-12 with a starting pay of $27.77/hour. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
Pay rates for individuals with prior state service shall be set in accordance with their full years of state service.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
This position includes physical requirements, including but not limited to: standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs.
Special Requirement: Certification in BLS by the American Heart Association and training in the use of the AED andhave the ability toperform BLS and/or first aid to prevent loss of life and relieve suffering untilappropriate carearrives.
