Job summary

Verto People is seeking a Scheduling Lead to provide owner-side schedule oversight on a power generation project in Texas. You will independently assess contractor schedules, verify progress, and present delivery risks and forecasts to project leadership.

You should have 10+ years of scheduling on major capital projects, 5+ years representing an owner on EPC lump-sum contracts, and advanced Primavera P6 expertise, with strong delay analysis capabilities.

Qualifications

• Advanced Primavera P6 expertise.
• Practical experience conducting delay analysis.
• Confidence challenging contractor assumptions and communicating schedule risks.

• Analyze critical paths and available float to identify potential delays.
• Assess work package sequencing against project milestones.
• Evaluate the schedule impact of changes and delay events.
• Verify approved changes are incorporated into schedule updates.
• Prepare clear reports for project management and senior leadership.

You’ll independently assess contractor schedules, verify reported progress and give project leadership a clear view of delivery risks and completion forecasts.

• Review contractor schedules, checking logic, sequencing and progress updates.
• Analyze critical paths and available float to identify potential delays.
• Assess work package sequencing against project milestones.
• Evaluate the schedule impact of changes and delay events.
• Verify approved changes are incorporated into schedule updates.
• Prepare clear reports for project management and senior leadership.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of scheduling experience on major capital projects.
• At least five years representing an owner or client overseeing EPC delivery under lump-sum contracts.
• Advanced Primavera P6 expertise.
• Practical experience conducting delay analysis.
• Confidence challenging contractor assumptions and communicating schedule risks.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Power generation project experience and familiarity with digital project documentation tools would be advantageous.
