University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Scheduling and Events Coordinator to handle all scheduling and event management for Hill Student Center spaces, including outdoor areas. You will process requests via the online system and respond to walk-in, phone, and email inquiries concerning space use, catering, equipment rentals, and marketing.
The role supports department operations, enforces policies, oversees equipment purchases, manages programs, and collects data for reporting.
The Scheduling and Events Coordinator is responsible for all scheduling and event management of Hill Student Center managed areas, including outdoor spaces. This position is responsible for processing requests via the on-line reservation system as well as responding to walk-in, phone, and email requests for space. To ensure successful events for all clients, the Scheduling and Events Coordinator will provide guidance and resources related to catering, equipment rentals, and marketing as needed. This position will assist the department with a wide variety of administrative and supervisory duties in the area of facility operations, policy and procedure enforcement, equipment purchases, program management, and statistical data collection and reporting. When applicable, the Scheduling and Events Coordinator will directly supervise a team of student event assistants and other paraprofessional staff as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality or a related field and one (1) year of related experience is required. Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.
