Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage patient visit scheduling, information intake, and coordination of staff, rooms, and equipment. Responsibilities include insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications, acting as a liaison among care teams, patients, physicians, and insurers.

The role is full-time with a day shift, requiring strong organizational and communication skills and familiarity with hospital systems, including Epic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years experience in a clinical or hospital scheduling environment preferred.
• Imaging scheduling experience highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Excel/Word applications and utilization required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient visits and exams; acquire patient/exam information.
• Coordinate staff, rooms, and equipment for exams.
• Verify insurance, manage referrals and pre-certifications.
• Serve as liaison between Care Management, Business Office, patients, and physicians.
• Provide exemplary customer service in scheduling activities; cross-train for front desk coverage if needed.

$28.56 - $42.84

Responsible for patient visit scheduling, acquiring patient/exam information, scheduling exams, coordinating staff/room/equipment , insurance verification, referral management, authorization management, and pre-certification on all scheduled patient accounts. The Scheduling Coordinator acts as a liaison between Care Management, Business Office, patients, physician’s offices and insurance carriers. Provides exemplary customer service in facilitating all aspects of patient scheduling activities. Collects appropriate monies, notifies patients/physicians office staff of hospital billing policies and services. Cross-trained to offer coverage for front desk reception and registration per department need.

Full Time / Day Shift

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years experience in a clinical or hospital scheduling environment preferred.
