Job summary

River City Construction is seeking a Work Management Specialist for our Washington, NC location. The role focuses on scheduling, tracking, and executing work orders while maintaining strong customer service and accurate administrative support for field teams.

You will communicate updates to leadership, maintain daily work management records, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely project progress and confidentiality. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to construction and maintenance teams.
• Ensure timely scheduling and execution of work orders.
• Use systems and tools to communicate updates, changes, and status reports to team members and leadership.
• Maintain daily updates to work management systems with current job status and details.
• Coordinate and facilitate communication between internal teams and external teams.
• Assist in the reconciliation of labor, materials, and equipment costs on work orders to ensure field accuracy.
• Support error resolution and close-out of construction work orders in the work management system.
• Support the processing of invoices.
• Prepare meeting minutes, track action items, and support project documentation as needed.
• Uphold confidentiality with sensitive company and employee information.
• Continuously build job knowledge related to construction standards, prints, compatible units, and field operations.
