Job summary

River City Construction is seeking a Work Management Specialist I to support construction and maintenance operations by ensuring work is scheduled, tracked, and executed efficiently. This on-site role requires strong organization and clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The position is based in Berryville, VA and reports to the Contract Specialist Supervisor. It includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within the work management function.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to construction and maintenance teams.
• Ensure timely scheduling and execution of work orders.
• Use systems and tools to communicate updates, changes, and status reports to team members and leadership.
• Maintain daily updates to work management systems with current job status and details.
• Coordinate and facilitate communication between internal teams and external teams.
• Assist in the reconciliation of labor, materials, and equipment costs on work orders to ensure field accuracy.
• Support error resolution and close-out of construction work orders in the work management system.
• Support the processing of invoices.
• Prepare meeting minutes, track action items, and support project documentation as needed.
• Uphold confidentiality with sensitive company and employee information.
• Continuously build job knowledge related to construction standards, prints, compatible units, and field operations.
