Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians is seeking a Front Office Scheduler to enhance patient access by greeting visitors, answering calls, and scheduling appointments and procedures. The role supports the Call Center and front desk teams while delivering exceptional customer service in a busy clinical environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in medical scheduling, and familiarity with NextGen or similar practice management systems.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience as a customer service representative, scheduler, or closely related position is required (preferably in healthcare).
• Telephone, scheduling and physician practice experience preferred.
• NextGen experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supports patient access by serving as a greeter, operator or general scheduler.
• Greets customers and/or answers the main telephone line, providing a positive first impression.
• Triages calls to the appropriate PHI person.
• Schedules clinic appointments and ancillary procedures.
• May serve a scheduling role in check-out or the Call Center.
• Provides coverage for other Front Office positions as requested by the supervisor or manager.
• Demonstrates outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Supports patient access by serving as a greeter, operator or general scheduler. Serves as a greeter in the practice and/or answers the main telephone line for the practice location. Effectively greets customers and/or answers the telephone providing a positive first impression of PHI. Addresses callers' questions immediately, as appropriate. Triages calls to the appropriate PHI person. Schedules clinic appointments and ancillary procedures. May serve a scheduling role in check-out or the Call Center. Provides coverage for other Front Office positions as requested by the supervisor or manager. Demonstrates outstanding customer service.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a customer service representative, scheduler, or closely related position is , preferably in the healthcare industry Required
