What You'll Do As a Scheduler

• Schedule the manufacturing of gel coats (coatings) to meet the blend requirements of batches in a timely and cost-effective manner with an accurate estimate on-time delivery date collaboratively agreed upon with Customer Service and in cooperation with the scheduling requirements
• Keep the Plant Manager / Lead Scheduler / Production Manager informed of any obstacles which might prevent achievement of the above goals.
• Collaborate with all production and laboratory team members to resolve any batch card discrepancies.
• Generate batch cards and provide the production team.
• Schedules and input weekly inventory cycle counts and investigates / resolves any discrepancies.
• Activate new formulas from R&D within the MRP/ERP system.
• Coordinate and leads biannual site inventory (mid-year and EOY) in collaboration with Corporate Controller and Site Plant Manager
• Receive into MRP system any finished good returns.
• Attends daily production meetings and gives brief reports on daily activities and collaboratively resolves any production / inventory challenges.
• Maintains aged and distressed inventory and rework/waste.
• Punctuality and regularity of attendance are job requirements.
  
  

What We're Looking For In a Scheduler

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Supply Chain Management, Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
• 5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience with ERP/MPR systems
• Exceptionally detail-oriented and adaptable with an excellent work ethic and customer satisfaction record
• Wear appropriate PPE when in the production environment (Safety Goggles, Steel Toe Shoes, Fire Retardant Smock - all provided by company)
